COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sen. Jon Husted today earned the endorsement of more than half the Ohio House, underscoring broad support from across the state as the campaign continues building toward the general election. Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman praised Husted’s leadership and record of delivering results for Ohio.
“Jon Husted has consistently demonstrated the leadership and experience needed to deliver for Ohio,” Huffman said. “Throughout his public service, he has fought for policies that strengthen our economy, support job creation and defend the midwestern values Ohioans believe in. I am proud to support Jon Husted for the U.S. Senate.”
Husted previously served as speaker of the Ohio House, where he led efforts to pass what was, at the time, the largest tax cut in Ohio history. He has continued these efforts in the U.S. Senate, where he was the deciding vote in favor of the working families tax cut.
In response to the endorsement, Husted emphasized his ongoing mission to fight for Ohio’s priorities in Washington.
“I am honored to have the support of so many members of the Ohio House from every corner of our state,” Husted said. “The unity behind this campaign shows we share a commitment to growing our economy, strengthening our communities for working families and protecting the values Ohioans believe in.”
