Local leaders cite Husted’s record of economic growth, responsiveness and delivering results for Ohio communities
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jon Husted announced today the endorsement of more than 80 current and former Ohio mayors in his campaign for the U.S. Senate.
The endorsements come from local officials representing communities across every region of Ohio. The group joins a growing list of elected officials, community leaders and law enforcement officials who have rallied behind Husted’s candidacy.
The mayors cited Husted’s record of working with local governments to support economic growth, improve infrastructure and strengthen communities as reasons for backing his campaign.
“Mayors are on the front lines serving their communities every day,” said Husted. “They understand better than anyone how federal policies affect public safety, infrastructure, housing, economic development and the quality of life in our communities. I’m honored to have the support of these dedicated local leaders.”
Strongsville Mayor Tom Perciak praised Husted’s leadership and ability to bring people together.
“Senator Husted is a consensus builder and thrives on economic growth for the state of Ohio,” said Perciak.
Centerville Mayor Brooks Compton highlighted Husted’s lifelong commitment to serving Ohioans, which contrasts with Sherrod Brown’s 32-year career in Washington.
“Jon is a leader who looks to the future, not the past,” said Compton. “Jon knows and works for Ohio, not Washington. He is the new generation of leadership we need representing us.”
